What are UV Filters?
UV filters a.k.a ultraviolet filters are chemicals that absorb or block UV radiation. Whilst most only protect you for certain parts of the UVB spectrum, some UV filters offer protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
The UV filters listed in our guide are the 33 active ingredients approved as sunscreens in Australia by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
